This has to be one of the worlds best kept secret for long. Because if someone had mentioned Switzerland to me before I moved to a nearby area in the region, I would think of the land of bankers and maybe some mountains. I honestly moved to this region, knowing absolutely nothing about the area except that I was prepared that it was mostly village and would be boring. It wasn’t until some weekend get aways in the so called villages within the region that I discovered the hidden treasures of this place.
That said, we did mention bankers previously and there is some truth to this though…

UNIQUE THINGS TO DO WHEN TRAVELLING IN CH
Accommodation – Switzerland has something for everyone. Be sure though to try out sleeping in the mountains – in the “hütte” – mountain huts in the alps, for these you do have to book in advance to have the best experience overall. Switzerland has a large network of mountain huts and hotels, enabling you to stay overnight in beautiful remote places in comfort and safety. With these chalets you can enjoy your wine and cheese on the terrace, or outdoor grills.
Winter Luxuries– St Moritz is the ultimate definition of luxury winter wonderland with so much to offer for those with exquisite taste. If three things define this its glamour , sport and nature. In fact – St. Moritz is more than just a holiday resort for winter luxury and wellness. It was also the birthplace of Alpine winter tourism (in 1864) and has twice hosted the Winter Olympics. – making it a fitting destination to add to your list after some Davos World Economic Forum Meetings.
Transportation – This country makes it accessible and affordable to travel by rail. There are many ticket offers and seasonal tickets. However the cherry on top is the views on gets when travelling by train. My beloved journey is the Walensee route – which is absolutely stunning. There are many other train rides that will make your jaw drop easily in the Alps of Switzerland – be sure to pick up your jaw as you discover the wonders of this tiny country.
Best experience – one of the things that has always been on my list was mount Pilatus – that picture above was me ticking of this bucket list. It was the best solo trip I had done within the region – absolutely heavenly and made new friends during this hike. Best day trip adventure.

Sen Bubble Tea
( Lucerne) once again, this cute little town has many places to catch some traditional cuisine ( from Cheese fondue to snails ) however had to share this bubble tea spot because well - nothing beats bubble tea with fresh tapioca.

Tremondi Boutique Bar & Restaurant
(Quinten) Serendipity is the word that comes to mind when I think of this place. This places features a great view of Walensee and some of the finest ingredients with no buzz of the busy city.

(Zürich) This places concept is remarkable. The idea is to eat with all your senses except your sight. They feature also some aphrodisiacs making it a perfect gift for a romantic evening.

Zugersee Schifffahrt
(Zug) Ok, you got me - yes - I love water given I am from a landlocked place and being on this rug boat cruise can easily become the most amazing culinary experience. Zug does have other lovely boat restaurants around- the perk of this one - is its moving and you get beautiful views..
