If you are wondering if a weekend is enough days in Vienna, with three days it is adequate to see the whole city. Three days in Vienna will allow you to get to the top attractions at a fair pace and perhaps could give you a chance to enjoy some of the many cultural activities in the Vienna Museums. Vienna has everything for everyone, from International and traditional food sceneries , nightlife, culture, or grandeur experiences.
Bicycle/Walking tours: Ringstrasse, encircling the historic Old Town of Vienna, known as Innere Stadt, is a World Heritage Site making this area a must to visit and walk around to explore. this “inner city” hails upscale shops and cafes lining the pedestrianized Kärntner Strasse and Graben, with also art galleries and restaurants dotting the surrounding streets. Kärntner Strasse has existed since Roman times, when it was known as Strata Carinthian – which makes it a historical nice street to walk through for a tour. If you are spending the weekend in Vienna, its a great idea to pack some good walking shoes to enjoy this area.
“Vienna is the gate to Eastern Europe.”
~ Niki Lauda
Food tours: From Sachtorte, capfulstrudel, Vienna Schnitzel, Tafelspitz, Goulash, Kaiserschmarren, Bichteln – Vienna will have lots to offer you for a weekend trip. If you are looking for international cuisine – the Main Street of Vienna is also huddled with many good ramen places. ( Try Shoyu Ramen )
If you need a complete change of scenery during the day, visit Vienna’s Hundertwasserhaus near the Danube Canal in the 3rd district. Designed by the eccentric and visionary Austrian architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser who also worked in the field of environmental protection.
Evening Scenery: So you have walked the beautiful streets of Vienna, had some good food and still have energy for the evenings. would recommend Onyx. It has the atmosphere with the most unreal view of St. Stephens Cathedral.
